Broadrayne Farm

This Traditional Lakeland Farm is one of the best known farms in the Lake District; its picturesque situation at the foot of Dunmail Raise attracts everybody's gaze as they pass North or South through the lakes. The farm is often photographed and filmed and has appeared several times on television and  in glossy magazines in the last few years.  Fortunately this publicity all takes place from a long distance and it hasn't in anyway spoilt the farm's privacy; on entering the farmyard the picturesque turns into the charming as the setting for the cottages becomes apparent.

The farm cottages face South and West and enjoy dramatic open fell views.  All the farm properties have been lovingly restored with today's creature comforts, having the benefit of open fires and central heating.

Our cottages accommodate 2-5 people but in combination up to 11 people.  All nestle around the  farmyard.   All cottage guests have the use of an onsite sauna, drying room, & payphone.  Cycle storage is available.  Pets are welcome by arrangement.

If you are in the lakes and you would like to look round then just pop in, we will gladly show you around.  Please note however that if the cottages are occupied then we will not be able to show you inside in order to respect occupying guests privacy.  Nevertheless you will gain a greater understanding and appreciation if you do visit.
